The fact LNG pollutes less than coal doesn't mean it's a good idea to build a major industrial complex in the middle of one of the region's largest estuaries. Broadwater is a monumental setback for all the people who for decades have done their best to clean up Long Island Sound. Broadwater sets an unfortunate precedent; it will be an eyesore and foul up one of last areas of Long Island sound that isn't already dying of Hypoxia.

If those aren't reasons enough to oppose the project, it's the fact Shell, TransCanada and Washington bureaucrats are overriding local opposition and telling New York and Connecticut residents what's good for The Sound.
